Ok so three posts from me in a week is a lot–that’s either good or bad, but unlikely to become the norm. I’m excited.
First, my voice is BACK, which is a detail I realize I forgot to mention when I wrote to you about PUSHING. It’s so very welcome. It makes life easier. And it means I can give a talk during my opening Saturday. I love to talk about my work. It brings me closer to the people kind enough to show up.
Second, I’m in New Orleans with my baby–my grown husband baby–and we are having the best time doing absolutely anything without our kids. (Love you, kids!) Thank you, parents, for babysitting.
TWO dessert courses at Herbsaint: the cheese course and fried apple hand pies with ginger ice cream and a brilliant Gamay. God bless!
Third, I wanted to share this video from the night before we left, when I crept back into my studio to see what I’d done that afternoon. This is the best feeling, checking in on what happened. Seeing if it’s still as exciting as it felt while making it. And it was!
Hope you’ll share my excitement.
Hands ON, using my hands to paint. It’s bridging the gap to mothering and healing, laying hands.
Hope to see you or anyone you know in New Orleans tomorrow night for the opening of “Honey, Suckle”. 6-9 PM. Artist talk at 7.
